Art for the Soul...

Pablo Picasso once said, "Art washes away from the soul, the dust of everyday life."  This could not ring more true for me. Creating in many ways is as important to my existence as breathing. Whether its capturing a landscape in oils, doing some rough sketches in my notebook while I'm watching a band perform, building frames, or sewing little outfits for my girls, I am a maker at heart.  If I am not creating, I'm daydreaming about it. My hope is that I can wash away a little dust from this world and bring light to the beauty that is all around us because art is good for the soul.        ~ AMW
